Mission Statement
The Antelope Valley Mosquito and Vector Control District’s mission is to protect the public health of its citizens, improve enjoyment of outdoor recreation and enhance economic development of its community.
Drain all standing water, maintain or drain swimming pools.
Dusk and dawn is when mosquitoes are most active.
Defend yourself - use insect repellents containing DEET, Picaridin, Oil of lemon eucalyptus or IR3535 when you are outside during mosquito activity. Always follow instructions carefully. And make sure your screens on windows and doors fit tightly to keep mosquitoes out of your home.
